We are very proud to have served
the Grand Strand for over 25 years!


Benjamin’s Bakery -  It all started with ‘Bagels’ back in 1994. Owner/Founder Lee Zulanch and his father, former Long Islanders, understood the growing popularity of ‘New York-style Bagels’ and realized the Grand Strand was ‘under-bagled’...and the idea of establishing a bagel shop became their passion.

Named after Lee’s oldest son, Benjamin’s Bagel Bakery opened in the fall of 1994 to immediate success...fronted by a bagel shop and deli, where you could get breakfast, lunch, fresh-baked bagels, deli meats, and a good cup of coffee. As the business grew in those early years, Benjamin’s expanded their product line to Breads, Rolls, Buns, Pastries, Cupcakes, Cakes, and specialty items.

Wholesale Partners

As local restaurants ordered Benjamin’s delicious bagels in increasing volumes, many began asking Lee for his fresh-baked Breads, Rolls, and Buns...requiring more production output, a larger bakery operation and building, and more equipment. Today, you can find Benjamin’s baked goods in over 100 area restaurants and shops.


Fresh Local Coffee

In 2018, Lee sensed another opportunity...the need for a local coffee roaster (to deliver to Grand Strand restaurants and retailers the freshest coffee beans and ground coffee). He purchased and installed a top-of-line Dietrich IR12 12 kilogram roaster, immersed himself in the science and technology of coffee roasting, and began roasting, brewing, and delivering the area’s freshest Coffee.
